Job summary

Erickson Senior Living in Charlestown is seeking an Activities Associate (Intermissions Associate) to bring compassion to residents and families in our intermissions program supporting dementia care.

You will co-lead social activities, design engaging programs, and assist with transport and mealtime tasks while maintaining attendance records and participating in ongoing training.

• Patience, flexibility, and genuine interest in dementia care.
• Willingness to adapt to residents' needs and schedules.
• Programming/activity experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Co-lead social activity-based programming for Intermission participants.
• Adopt a person-centered approach to residents' needs.
• Design and implement creative programming.
• Lead activities and transport residents to programs.
• Engage in mealtime preparations.
• Complete daily attendance records.

How you will make an impact

• Co-lead social activity-based programming for Intermission participants

• Assist in program operation by leading activities and transport residents to and from programs
• Engage in mealtime preparations
• Complete daily attendance records
• Attend in-services and other training to increase job knowledge and skills in working with participants

What you will need

• Patience, flexibility, and the sincere interest and desire to work with residents affected by dementia
• Programming/activity experience is preferred
• Flexibility in work schedule to include evenings/weekends
