Job summary

Erickson Senior Living is seeking an Activities Associate (Intermissions Associate) in Charlestown to lead activity programming for residents, including those dealing with dementia. You will co-lead social activities and design creative programs in a compassionate, person-centered environment.

Responsibilities include guiding activities, transporting residents, assisting with meals, and maintaining attendance records, with training opportunities to expand skills in dementia care and program

Qualifications

• Patience, flexibility, and the sincere interest and desire to work with residents affected by dementia.
• Programming/activity experience is preferred.
• Flexibility in work schedule to include evenings/weekends.

• Adopt a person-centered approach and an environment that supports the needs of each individual resident.
• Design and implement creative programming.
• Assist in program operation by leading activities and transport residents to and from programs.
• Engage in mealtime preparations.
• Complete daily attendance records.
• Attend in-services and other training to increase job knowledge and skills in working with participants.
