Job summary

UAMS Health Benton/Bryant location is seeking a detail-oriented program administrator to support Epic scheduling templates, clinic block processes, and access workflows.

You will develop and maintain scheduling templates in Epic Cadence, coordinate with IT, review templates with providers, design reports, analyze data to identify variances, and implement action plans while ensuring compliance and comprehensive documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with 4 years of program/project administration or related experience, or a high school diploma with 8 years of program/project administration or related experience.
  • Experience in a medical office setting; Epic Cadence experience preferred.
  • Must attend Epic training and pass required exams within one year of hire.
  • Clinical chart review and abstraction experience preferred.
  • Experience in bariatric surgery, weight-management or chronic disease management preferred.
  • Familiarity with insurance authorization processes preferred.
  • Experience in an academic medical center or research-oriented environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, basic anatomy, physiology, and disease processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) required; PowerPoint strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse patient populations and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on first day.
  • Pre-employment screening: background, drug testing, and/or education verification.
  • List of three professional references and resume.

Responsibilities

  • Support administrative needs of UAMS Health Benton/Bryant location.
  • Develop and maintain scheduling templates in Epic.
  • Coordinate schedule changes and template maintenance with IT.
  • Create scheduling templates, decision trees, diagnosis matrices, and criteria for providers.
  • Build templates in Epic and ensure accurate decision trees with IT.
  • Manage clinic block processes.
  • Provide technical and customer support for Epic scheduling users.
  • Review templates with providers and staff, optimize schedules per guidelines.
  • Monitor clinic schedules and coordinate with access staff.
  • Develop written policies and process documentation.
  • Design reports, analyze data, identify outliers, and implement action plans.
  • Maintain departmental org charts and distribution lists.
  • Manage and advise on assigned projects or programs.
  • Provide general administrative support and cross-trained coverage.

Job description

  • Support the administrative needs of the UAMS Health Benton/Bryant location
  • Develop and maintain scheduling templates in Epic and coordinate schedule changes
  • Develop and maintain clinic scheduling templates, decision trees, diagnosis matrices, and scheduling criteria for all providers in the service line
  • Build and update templates directly in Epic and work with IT to maintain accurate decision trees
  • Manage clinic block processes
  • Provide technical and customer support for providers and access staff using Epic scheduling templates
  • Review templates with providers and access staff, make recommendations to optimize schedules, and ensure compliance with Access Committee guidelines
  • Monitor clinic schedules and coordinate with clinic and appointment center access staff
  • Develop written documentation of policies and processes
  • Design reports, collect and analyze data, identify outliers or variances, and implement action plans
  • Maintain departmental organizational charts and distribution lists
  • Manage, consult, and advise on assigned projects or programs
  • Provide general administrative support and cross-trained coverage
  • Perform related responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree in a directly related field plus 4 years program/project administration or related experience OR High School Diploma plus 8 years program/project administration or related experience
  • Experience in a medical office setting and Epic Cadence experience preferred
  • Required to attend Epic training and pass required exams within one year of hire
  • Clinical chart review and abstraction experience preferred
  • Experience in bariatric surgery, weight-management programs, or chronic disease management preferred
  • Familiarity with insurance authorization processes preferred

  • Knowledge and comfort with Microsoft Office products is essential; Word and Excel experience is required
