Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a procurement-focused professional to maximize margins across spend areas, interfacing with IT, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and senior leadership. The role emphasizes cost analysis, pricing oversight, and collaborative strategies to protect profitability.

You will drive financial analysis, evaluate bids, and work with Procurement to optimize inventory costs while supporting revenue growth. Strong communication and costing expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• 4-6 years' experience in procurement, food sales, marketing contract administration and/or product costing.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in logistics, marketing, accounting or related area.

Responsibilities

• Manage sales margins including GP percentage, dollars, dollars per case and dollars by drop; monitor profit by staff and customer.
• Implement and maintain Burden/Standards on new and existing items.
• Perform financial analysis; analyze daily orders for cost errors or price discrepancies; monitor cost and pricing by category to ensure profit and growth.
• Evaluate bid items for contract maintenance and compliance to maximize margins; ensure correctness of cost for bids prior to calculate and roll process.
• Make recommendations to sales management on changes needed to improve margins; work with Sales to grow sales and manage pricing deviations.
• Coordinate with Procurement to maximize income for inventory cost adjustments and aged inventory relief.
• Evaluate and interact with Senior Management on approval of customer rebate/discount programs.
• Performs other related duties as assigned
