Job summary

Fortra is seeking a collaborative and experienced Professional Services Consultant to join our Services team. You will work with customers to deploy Fortra’s software solutions in the field, build strong partnerships, drive successful implementations, and adapt to diverse environments.

The role requires travel and occasional delivery of formal training sessions to customers and partners. You’ll deliver training, professional services, and enablement for partners, conduct product demonstrations

Qualifications

• Experience with MFT products and/or scripting.
• Programming experience.
• CISSP or other cybersecurity certifications.
• Experience with Linux and Windows environments; IBM platform experience is a plus.
• Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Containerization experience (Docker).
• SQL experience with MS SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and DB2.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work in collaborative teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver customer training to enable full use of product features.
• Deliver professional services to support implementations and outcomes.
• Provide training and enablement for Fortra partners.
• Conduct product demonstrations and POC engagements for prospects.
• Develop quotes and SOWs by assessing training and consulting needs with Sales.
• Support and enhance the Customer Lifecycle process to improve experiences.
• Provide feedback to R&D to improve products and opportunities.
• Travel regionally as needed (< 20%).
• Occasionally work outside normal hours to meet customer requirements.
• Create and maintain knowledge base articles and best practices.
• Maintain professional conduct and adhere to Fortra policies.
• Demonstrate integrity, honesty, and customer service.

This role requires extensive travel and occasional delivery of formal training sessions to customers and partners, highlighting your excellent communication and consulting skills to ensure customer satisfaction and project success.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Deliver customer training to ensure clients can take full advantage of product features and functionality.
• Deliver professional services to support successful product implementations and customer outcomes.
• Provide training and enablement for Fortra business partners so they can effectively deliver technical services and support to their customers.
• Conduct product demonstrations and proof-of-concept (POC) engagements for prospective customers, showcasing how our solutions address business challenges and requirements.
• Assess customer training and consulting needs and partner with Sales to develop quotes and Statements of Work (SOWs) for services engagements.
• Support and enhance the Customer Lifecycle process, continuously identifying opportunities to improve the customer experience.
• Provide feedback and enhancement recommendations to the R&D team to help improve products and expand market opportunities.
• Travel regionally as needed (less than 20%) to support customer implementations and software deployments.
• Occasionally work outside normal business hours to support customer requirements when necessary.
• Create and maintain knowledge base articles, technical tips, and best practices as needed.
• Consistently conduct yourself in a professional manner and adhere to all Fortra policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate a high level of integrity, honesty, and customer service in all interactions with employees, prospects, partners, and customers.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with Managed File Transfer (MFT) products and/or scripting.
• Programming experience.
• CISSP or other cybersecurity certifications.
• Experience with Linux and Windows environments; IBM platform experience is a plus.
• Cloud platform experience, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Containerization experience, such as Docker.
• SQL experience, including proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and DB2.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights and recommendations.
• Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Experience collaborating with internal stakeholders, including Development, Support, Sales, Pre-Sales, and Project Management teams, as well as external stakeholders such as IT Managers, System Administrators, Project Leaders, and Project Managers.
• Proven ability to work effectively in collaborative team environments and contribute to shared goals and business objectives.

Compensation

Compensation : 90,000 USD - 100,000 USD
