Job summary

Fortra is seeking a collaborative Professional Services Consultant to deploy our software in the field, working closely with customers to drive successful implementations and outcomes.

You will train customers, deliver professional services, and enable Fortra partners to provide technical services and support. The role requires extensive travel and some training sessions, with a focus on communication and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience with Managed File Transfer (MFT) products and scripting.
• Programming experience required.
• CISSP or other cybersecurity certifications preferred.
• Experience with Linux and Windows environments; IBM platform experience is a plus.
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) experience.
• Docker and containerization knowledge is a plus.
• SQL experience with MS SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and DB2.

Responsibilities

• Deliver customer training to ensure clients can use product features and functionality.
• Deliver professional services to support successful product implementations and customer outcomes.
• Provide training and enablement for Fortra partners to deliver technical services and support.
• Conduct product demonstrations and POC engagements for prospective customers.
• Assess training and consulting needs and partner with Sales to develop quotes and SOWs for services.
• Support and enhance the Customer Lifecycle process to improve the customer experience.
• Provide feedback to the R&D team to help improve products and expand market opportunities.
• Travel regionally as needed (less than 20%).
• Occasionally work outside normal business hours when necessary.
• Create and maintain knowledge base articles and best practices.

We are seeking a collaborative and experienced Professional Services Consultant to join our Services team. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams and directly with customers to deploy Fortra’s software solutions in the field. Your ability to build strong partnerships, drive successful implementations, and adapt to diverse customer environments will be essential. This role requires extensive travel and occasional delivery of formal training sessions to customers and partners, highlighting your excellent communication and consulting skills to ensure customer satisfaction and project success.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Deliver customer training to ensure clients can take full advantage of product features and functionality.
• Deliver professional services to support successful product implementations and customer outcomes.
• Provide training and enablement for Fortra business partners so they can effectively deliver technical services and support to their customers.
• Conduct product demonstrations and proof-of-concept (POC) engagements for prospective customers, showcasing how our solutions address business challenges and requirements.
• Assess customer training and consulting needs and partner with Sales to develop quotes and Statements of Work (SOWs) for services engagements.
• Support and enhance the Customer Lifecycle process, continuously identifying opportunities to improve the customer experience.
• Provide feedback and enhancement recommendations to the R&D team to help improve products and expand market opportunities.
• Travel regionally as needed (less than 20%) to support customer implementations and software deployments.
• Occasionally work outside normal business hours to support customer requirements when necessary.
• Create and maintain knowledge base articles, technical tips, and best practices as needed.
• Consistently conduct yourself in a professional manner and adhere to all Fortra policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate a high level of integrity, honesty, and customer service in all interactions with employees, prospects, partners, and customers.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with Managed File Transfer (MFT) products and/or scripting.
• Programming experience.
• CISSP or other cybersecurity certifications.
• Experience with Linux and Windows environments; IBM platform experience is a plus.
• Cloud platform experience, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Containerization experience, such as Docker.
• SQL experience, including proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and DB2.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights and recommendations.
• Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Experience collaborating with internal stakeholders, including Development, Support, Sales, Pre-Sales, and Project Management teams, as well as external stakeholders such as IT Managers, System Administrators, Project Leaders, and Project Managers.
• Proven ability to work effectively in collaborative team environments and contribute to shared goals and business objectives.

Compensation: 90,000 USD - 100,000 USD
