Job summary

Hollingsworth Richards Ford in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a motivated Service Advisor to focus on the full repair process from arrival to delivery. You will document customer concerns, prepare estimates, explain repairs, and ensure a seamless customer experience with technicians and clients.

The role emphasizes outstanding customer service, clear communication, organization, and the ability to build trust in a busy, established service department. Monday–Friday schedule; no weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous Service Advisor, Assistant Lane Manager, or Service Consultant experience preferred.
• Previous Ford dealership experience is a plus.
• Automotive service department experience preferred.
• Proven record of providing exceptional customer satisfaction.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to listen to customers and document concerns accurately.

Responsibilities

• Promptly greet customers in a professional and friendly manner.
• Obtain accurate customer and vehicle information.
• Listen to concerns and document vehicle symptoms clearly.
• Walk around the vehicle and document its condition.
• Review maintenance history and mileage to identify service recommendations.
• Prepare complete estimates for labor and parts.
• Explain repairs and maintenance to customers.
• Establish follow-up times and manage customer expectations.
• Communicate with technicians and other departments throughout the repair process.
• Monitor the progress of every assigned vehicle and update customers.
• Review inspection results and obtain authorization for additional work.
• Maintain documentation and verify completed repairs against work performed.
• Explain completed work and charges at vehicle delivery.
• Follow up with customers to ensure an exceptional service experience.
