Job summary

Meridian Waste is seeking a Residential Driver to safely operate a collection truck and provide prompt, courteous waste removal for customers. You will ensure the vehicle complies with safety standards and regulations before operation.

You will inspect the vehicle, read route sheets, service customers on the route, and complete daily reports. Strong attention to detail and good communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement required.
• Two years of prior experience driving heavy commercial trucks.
• Excellent reading and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle.
• Safely operate truck along designated route to the disposal site.
• Load refuse and operate equipment per safety policies.
• Interact courteously with customers and dispatchers.
• Tag unsatisfactory waste containers as needed.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable material and clean spills.
• Maintain vehicle readiness to minimize downtime.
• Complete route/productivity sheets and vehicle reports.
• Adhere to safety policies and company rules.
