Job summary

Meridian Waste seeks a Residential Driver in New York to safely operate a collection truck and provide courteous, efficient waste removal along designated routes. You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain accurate route and vehicle reports.

The role requires a valid CDL with air brakes, two years of heavy-truck experience, excellent reading/writing and customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• CDL with air brakes endorsement required.
• Two years of experience driving heavy commercial trucks.
• Strong reading and writing skills, plus customer service experience.
• Ability to multi-task and maintain attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspections to ensure safety and proper vehicle condition.
• Safely operate residential route truck and service each customer on the route.
• Identify unsatisfactory containers and tag containers as required.
• Complete required route/productivity sheets and vehicle condition reports.
• Adhere to safety policies and maintain professional conduct with customers and team.
