University of Wisconsin Medical Foundation in Madison seeks a Professional Reimbursement Representative to manage follow-ups with third-party payers and patients, verify coverage, and update registrations. The role is 1.0 FTE with training 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday, then hybrid flexibility.

Formación

• 1 year of experience in insurance, finance, medical, hospital, or customer service-related field.
• Knowledge of medical and insurance terminology, CPT, ICD coding structures, and billing forms (UB, 1500).
• Epic experience preferred.

Work Schedule:

This is a 1.0 FTE position. Training is required between the hours of 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday. Once fully trained, there is additional schedule flexibility that will be discussed in the interview. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. This position is hybrid and may require periodic onsite work. When on site you will work at 7974 UW Health Ct. in Madison, WI.

Professional Reimbursement Representative

• Follow up with third party payers and patients on outstanding account balances (including credit balances) to facilitate prompt resolution of outstanding account balances.
• Verify patient coverage information and update registration as required.

Qualifications

• No minimum education required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Associate's Degree in Business, Finance, Health Information Management, or related field preferred

Work Experience

• 1 year of experience in an insurance, finance, medical, hospital, or customer service-related field required
• Revenue Cycle (healthcare business, financial or insurance) experience.
• Epic experience
• Knowledge of medical and insurance terminology, CPT, ICD coding structures, and billing forms (UB, 1500)
• Preferred
