Duties could include researching rules, regulations, and guidance and modeling protocols, drafting technical datasets or summaries, drafting SIP language and participating in public hearings. Perform special and statistical analysis of data as requested. Examples of such work could include special air emissions inventory studies/surveys; review and comment on meteorological modeling studies performed by EPA, RPOs and others; assist in application and conduction of dispersion modeling, mobile modeling, and reviews of such modeling. Research, draft, and prepare state implementation plans, policy documents, agreements, technical summaries, and other planning air-quality related documents. Research involves gaining an understanding of and gathering the technical and legal documentation necessary to ensure conformance with the objectives of federal and state programs. Duties may pertain to national ambient air quality standards, regional haze, greenhouse gas emissions, and other issues.

Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

Qualifications

• Education: High School, GED
• Licensing & Certification: Valid Driver's License - Incumbent is required to have and maintain a valid driver's license when operating a state vehicle, a private vehicle, or a rental vehicle for the benefit of the State
• Minimum Qualifications: Professional Engineering license recognized by the Kansas Board of Technical Professionals.
