Job summary

Community-Residences is seeking a dedicated Trainer in Newington, CT to design, deliver, and update agency training programs for staff across departments. You will collaborate with the Professional Development Coordinator to ensure courses are engaging, compliant, and aligned with regulatory requirements.

You will lead monthly veteran/new employee trainings, manage training calendars, and coordinate scheduling for CPR, First Aid, PMT, and OSHA courses.

Qualifications

• Must obtain trainer certifications in PMT, OSHA, CPR, First Aid, and Harassment Prevention within 120 days of hire.
• Must maintain all certifications.
• Must be able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
• Must be willing to travel for scheduled trainings.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the agency training committee to identify topics staff need.
• Prioritize training needs with agency directors and implement annual programs.
• Instruct monthly veteran/new employee training courses and update curriculum as needed.
• Instruct management skills trainings and update curriculum as needed.
• Maintain training supplies and prepare training rooms for sessions.
• Schedule classes to meet regulatory requirements (CPR, First Aid, PMT, OSHA).
• Maintain a calendar of all offered training classes.
• Submit training paperwork to admins and regulatory agencies within 48 hours.
• Enter training data and scan signatures timely.
• File program licensing documents and support licensing presentations.
• Post trainings on intranet in absence of coordinator and keep staff updated.
