Job summary

Connecticut Department of Developmental Services seeks a Curriculum Manager to oversee the development and execution of training programs for the Educational Support Staff Development Division in Wallingford. The role directs training staff in curriculum development and implementation to meet HCBS Waiver and federal requirements.

Qualifications

• Seven (7) years of professional employment in in-service training, human resource development, or adult education.
• One (1) year with primary responsibility for planning, developing, coordinating, or implementing an in-service training or staff development program.
• Considerable knowledge of in-service training principles, educational methods, and adult learning techniques.
• Considerable interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.
• Ability to assess training needs, determine objectives, and develop curriculum for multiple formats (classroom, webinar, e-learning, blended).

Responsibilities

• Oversees development and execution of training programs for DDS Educational Support Staff Development Division.
• Directs training staff in research, curriculum development, and implementation of programs for DDS and private provider employees to meet HCBS Waiver and federal requirements.
• Conducts needs analyses, negotiates training contracts, and manages training software and databases.
• Prepares statistical reports and feasibility studies.
