Job summary

Catapult Learning is seeking a Professional Development Specialist for the Greater Salt Lake City, Utah area on a per diem basis. You will support educators and school leaders with literacy, math, STEM, technology integration, and blended learning to improve student growth.

The role emphasizes collaborative planning, coaching teachers one-on-one, and delivering engaging professional development workshops. Flexible scheduling and per diem pay reflect the varied needs of partner schools.

Qualifications

• Must reside near Greater Salt Lake City.
• K-12 Literacy Specialist Endorsement or Utah literacy endorsement preferred.
• Basic instructional experience; coaching and literacy experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field required (master’s preferred).
• Experience teaching math, literacy, science or relevant curriculum.
• Teaching/instructional experience required; coaching and teacher development experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Microsoft Office experience.

• Host dynamic and collaborative planning conferences that unleash educators' creative potential.
• Coach, train, and mentor teachers individually/one-on-one.
• Craft creative example lessons that captivate students.
• Lead interactive professional development workshops when needed.
• Research and demonstrate instructional strategies.
• Foster a culture of active participation and open discussions.
• Ensure all educator development is completed successfully.
• Provide report documentation as required.
• Communicate actively with directors regarding activities.

Qualifications

What we’ll need from you:

• Must reside near or around Greater Salt Lake City.
• K-12 Literacy Specialist Endorsement or other applicable Utah literacy/reading endorsement preferred.
• Basic instructional experience required; teacher coaching and transformation, school turnaround, and literacy experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field required (master’s degree preferred).
• Experience teaching math, literacy, science or other relevant curriculum.
• Teaching/instructional experience required. Experience in instructional coaching and teacher development, literacy instruction, and school transformation/turnaround preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Microsoft Office experience.

Pay Rate

USD $480.00 - USD $900.00 /Per Diem
