Catapult Learning is seeking a Professional Development Specialist for the Greater Salt Lake City area. This per diem position supports teachers and school leaders by delivering targeted professional development in literacy, math, STEM, and blended learning.

Schedules vary by school needs and the year begins in 2026-2027. The role emphasizes collaborative planning, one-on-one coaching, and the creation of engaging lesson examples.

Qualifications

• Must reside near or around Greater Salt Lake City.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field required (master’s degree preferred).
• Experience in teacher coaching, literacy instruction, and school turnaround is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with educators.

Responsibilities

• Host dynamic, collaborative planning conferences to unleash educators’ potential.
• Coach, train, and mentor teachers individually or one-on-one.
• Craft creative example lessons engaging students.
• Lead interactive professional development workshops as needed.
• Research and demonstrate effective instructional strategies.
• Foster active participation and open discussions among educators.
• Ensure all educator development is completed successfully and documented.

As a Professional Development Specialist with Catapult Learning, you will:

• Host dynamic and collaborative planning conferences that unleash the creative potential of educators.
• Coach, train, and mentor teachers individually/one-on-one.

• Lead interactive professional development workshops when needed.
• Research and demonstrate instructional strategies.
• Foster a culture of active participation and vibrant open discussions.
• Ensure all educator development is completed successfully.
• Provide report documentation as required.
• Communicate actively with directors regarding activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What we’ll need from you:The positive, enthusiastic Professional Development Specialist we seek has these qualifications.

• Must reside near or around Greater Salt Lake City.
• K-12 Literacy Specialist Endorsement or other applicable Utah literacy/reading endorsement preferred.
• Basic instructional experience required; teacher coaching and transformation, school turnaround, and literacy experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field required (master’s degree preferred).
• Experience teaching math, literacy, science or other relevant curriculum.
• Teaching/instructional experience required. Experience in instructional coaching and teacher development, literacy instruction, and school transformation/turnaround preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Microsoft Office experience.
