Job summary

Veritiv is seeking a CDL Class A Truck Driver to join a route-driven team delivering and picking up stock with a focus on safety and timely service. You will inspect loads, adhere to schedules, and interact professionally with customers while maintaining accurate delivery records.

Requirements include a valid Class A CDL, hazmat endorsement within six weeks, and willingness to work early shifts; 21+ years old. On-site role with opportunities for growth within logistics and warehousing functions.

Qualifications

• Must be available to start work at 5:00 a.m.
• Must observe all Department of Transportation regulations and maintain a safe driving record.
• Hazmat endorsement required within six weeks of hire.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment and liftgate experience preferred.
• Familiarity with computerized warehouse systems preferred.
• Excellent organizational, time management and customer relations skills.
• Must have a valid Class A CDL.
• Position requires a minimum of 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Transport goods to and from sites as routed in a timely manner.
• Visually inspect trucks and ensure orders are properly loaded to prevent damage.
• Work according to an assigned schedule and provide courteous customer interactions.
• Maintain and file delivery records and monitor inventory.
• Follow safety instructions to protect self and others.
• Report problems with facilities or customers and operate equipment as needed.
• Assist with warehouse duties including loading/unloading and order filling as assigned.
