Job summary

Veritiv is seeking a CDL Class A Truck Driver to join a team delivering and picking up stock on a reliable schedule. Responsibilities include operating trucks, inspecting loads, and maintaining accurate delivery records, while upholding safety and environmental guidelines.

The role may involve light warehouse tasks and customer-facing interactions. Ideal candidates hold a Class A CDL, 12+ months driving experience, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Must observe DOT regulations and maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Excellent organizational, time management and customer relations skills are required.
• Ability to operate a variety of material handling equipment, including liftgates.
• Hazmat endorsement preferred and required within the first six weeks of hire.

Responsibilities

• Transport goods and supplies on-site and off-site per procedures to ensure on-time delivery.
• Visually inspect loaded trucks to ensure accuracy and report defects or equipment issues.
• Work according to an assigned schedule and maintain professional interactions with customers.
• File and retrieve delivery documents while monitoring inventory quality and availability.
• Follow safety instructions to protect environment and wellbeing of self and others.
• Operate various equipment and machines, adjusting factors to improve efficiency.
• Assist with warehouse duties such as order filling, loading/unloading, and wrapping as needed.
