Job summary

Veritiv Corporation is seeking a CDL Class A Truck Driver to deliver and pick up stock, work with a collaborative team, and ensure timely, safe transportation to customers.

The role requires 12+ months driving experience, a valid Class A CDL, and adherence to DOT regulations. Hazmat is preferred and must be obtained within six weeks. You may assist with warehouse duties and must be at least 21 years old.

Qualifications

• Verifiable Class A license and 12+ months driving experience.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Hazmat endorsement preferred and required within first six weeks of hire.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must observe all DOT and driving regulations with a clean MVR.
• Ability to operate a variety of material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Transport goods and supplies onsite and offsite within established procedures to ensure on-time delivery.
• Visually inspect loaded trucks to ensure orders are pulled, packaged, converted, shipped and loaded properly; report defects or equipment problems.
• Work according to an assigned schedule.
• Provide professional and courteous interactions with customers to provide a positive experience.
• File and retrieve documents and delivery records; monitor inventory quality and quantity.
• Follow work instructions to safeguard the environment and wellbeing of oneself and others.
• Report problems or issues with facilities and customers.
• Operate equipment and machines, adjusting variables to improve efficiency.
• May assist with warehouse duties including order filling, loading/unloading, wrapping and other duties.
