Productivity & Collaboration Manager - Digital Workplace

Full-time | Onsite | Miami, FL | NO C2C

Position Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Productivity & Collaboration Manager to lead the team responsible for its enterprise digital workplace and collaboration environment. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who has grown through a technical background and evolved into a strong people and operational leader.

The Manager will oversee a team of approximately 7-8 professionals supporting Microsoft 365 and other enterprise collaboration platforms, including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, Slack, Box, and related technologies. This person will be responsible for day‑to‑day service delivery, platform governance, escalations, projects, vendor relationships, licensing, and the continued evolution of the collaboration environment.

The ideal candidate understands both the technology and the business experience behind it. They should be comfortable engaging senior executives, communicating new capabilities to non-technical users, managing a technical team, and stepping into critical issues when needed. This is a highly visible role supporting senior leadership based in Miami, requiring someone who is responsive, adaptable, and able to operate effectively in a fast-moving corporate environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of approximately 7-8 technical professionals supporting enterprise productivity and collaboration technologies across onsite and remote environments.
  • Oversee the Microsoft 365 collaboration environment, including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, tenant governance, administration, and ongoing platform optimization.
  • Provide leadership across additional collaboration and productivity platforms such as Slack, Box, Airtable, emergency alert/notification systems, and related enterprise tools.
  • Maintain strong technical knowledge of the collaboration environment and contribute directly to troubleshooting, decision-making, and critical escalations when needed.
  • Manage day-to-day service delivery, including ticket queues, ServiceNow activity, break/fix support, escalations, and appropriate team coverage.
  • Serve as an escalation point for senior executives and other high-priority users, ensuring critical collaboration and productivity issues are addressed quickly and effectively.
  • Lead projects involving new platform capabilities, migrations, upgrades, integrations, and technology rollouts from planning through implementation and ongoing support.
  • Support Microsoft tenant governance and migration initiatives, including experience with tenant-to-tenant migrations where applicable.
  • Stay current on Microsoft and collaboration technology roadmaps, emerging capabilities, and upcoming changes, proactively determining how new features may benefit the organization.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to introduce new technologies and capabilities, communicate their value, and drive successful adoption across the organization.
  • Manage vendor and partner relationships, including contracts, service performance, licensing, renewals, and escalations.
  • Monitor platform licensing, utilization, service performance, and costs to ensure resources are appropriately managed.
  • Establish, maintain, and communicate KPIs and operational metrics related to service delivery, platform health, ticket management, and team performance.
  • Ensure ServiceNow tickets, operational documentation, and project tasks remain accurate, current, and appropriately prioritized.
  • Partner across IT and business functions to understand needs, manage competing priorities, and ensure collaboration technologies support the broader organization.
  • Build a strong, engaged team culture through coaching, communication, accountability, recognition, and thoughtful workload and coverage management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive IT experience with significant experience supporting enterprise collaboration, productivity, or digital workplace technologies.
  • Demonstrated people management experience leading technical teams, ideally within a large or complex corporate environment.
  • Strong Microsoft 365 background, including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Exchange.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration, tenant governance, platform lifecycle management, and enterprise-scale deployments.
  • Experience with Microsoft tenant migrations or other significant Microsoft 365 transformation initiatives strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting and managing additional collaboration platforms such as Slack and Box; Airtable or similar productivity platforms is a plus.
  • Experience managing enterprise collaboration technologies from initial rollout and adoption through ongoing administration, support, and break/fix operations.
  • Strong understanding of IT service management, including ticket queues, escalations, incident response, ServiceNow, and operational KPIs.
  • Demonstrated project leadership experience, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience managing technology vendors, contracts, licensing, and external service providers.
  • Ability to communicate technical capabilities, new features, and technology changes clearly to non-technical business stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting senior executives and managing high-priority or business-critical escalations.
  • Strong technical foundation with the ability to contribute meaningfully during troubleshooting and technical discussions without needing to serve as the primary administrator.
  • Ability to anticipate changes in the collaboration technology landscape and proactively evaluate their potential impact on the organization.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, motivate, and retain technical team members.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment that requires adaptability, sound judgment, and the ability to shift priorities quickly.
