Basic Qualifications
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States; verification required at hire. Visa sponsorship is not available.

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

Howmet Engines produces aero engine and industrial gas turbine components, excelling in vacuum melted superalloys, machining, coatings, and hot isostatic pressing. Howmet Dover Casting supplies investment-cast turbine airfoils and other components, while Howmet Dover Alloy provides vacuum and air-melted superalloys.

We are currently seeking a Wax Machine Operator to join our Dover Casting group in Dover, New Jersey. The work hours are Afternoon Shift (Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM). Training will be on the Day shift, M-F, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM.

Starting hourly rate: $22.44; after 12 months: $24.92. An hourly shift premium applies when working off-shift.

Position Overview

The wax machine operator is responsible for injecting wax patterns in the wax department.

Environmental Health & Safety Responsibilities
  • Assist in implementing EHS policies and values.
  • Comply with all EHS regulations.
  • Wear required PPE.
  • Report injuries, illnesses, safety concerns.
  • Attend EHS training.
Essential Job Functions
  • Operate automatic fixed cycle, power injection machines to inject wax or plastic patterns.
  • Prepare patterns for inspection by cleaning and identifying.
  • Perform visual quality inspections.
  • Deflash solid patterns at press.
Interpersonal Responsibilities

Interactions are primarily internal, involving engineering, quality, and wax departments.

Physical Demands and Equipment
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Standing up to 8 hours.
