At Kelly, we’re passionate about helping you find a job that works for you. Our client, a leading metals reclamation and recycling services company in North Smithfield, RI, is seeking multiple Machine Operators to join their team.

Role:

Machine Operator

Location:

North Smithfield, RI

Pay Rate:

$18 and above, based on experience

Schedule:

2nd Shift 3pm-11pm Monday-Friday

Job Type:

Direct Hire

Key Responsibilities:

• Run the melt department furnaces and equipment to hit daily production goals
• Keep work area clean, safe, and organized; follow all safety rules
• Enter production data in shop software and hand off accurate paperwork
• Coordinate with the Production Supervisor & Scheduling on lot priorities and completion times
• Help train teammates and visiting operators
• Willingness to cross train through different departments
• Assist with year-end inventory counts and other plant tasks as needed

Qualifications & Requirements:

• 1–3 years of relevant melt/metal processing experience is a plus
• HS Diploma or GED
• Comfort with basic math and reading work instructions in English
• Basic PC skills; experience with manufacturing/MRP software is a plus
• Valid driver’s license; forklift certification & OSHA 24hr training (or willingness to obtain)
• Able to lift 50 lbs, work around heat, noise, and metal fumes with proper PPE
• Must be willing to wear a respirator
