D&M Industries is hiring a Production Worker in Moorhead, MN. Join a 100% employee-owned company that produces doors, windows, millwork and related construction materials for residential and commercial builders.

As a vital member of our production team, you will assist in machining and assembling products, ensuring precision, quality and efficiency across shifts. This role emphasizes safety, teamwork and adherence to work orders.

Qualifications

  • Two years of manufacturing or assembly line experience.
  • HS diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read work orders.
  • Attention to detail for inspecting materials and finished doors.
  • Teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble interior doors by following detailed work orders and using tools and components.
  • Operate and maintain machinery used in door manufacturing.
  • Inspect materials at each stage and communicate quality issues to supervisor.
  • Organize materials and notify supervisor when supplies are needed.
  • Rotate through assembly line stages for efficient flow.
  • Package and scan finished doors for shipment.
  • Clean work areas, break room, and restrooms.
  • Follow safety rules to maintain a clean environment.

Hours: Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. No weekends!

Salary Range: $18.00 - $19.93 per hour

Are you ready to bring your skills to the forefront of our production process? D&M Industries is on the lookout for a dedicated and skilled Production Worker to join our dynamic team in Moorhead, MN. As a vital member of our production team, you'll play a key role in machining and assembling entire products, ensuring precision, quality, and efficiency in every task.

What You'll Do:
  • Assemble interior doors by following detailed work order specifications, utilizing appropriate tools, materials, and components.
  • Operate and maintain the machinery used in the door manufacturing process.
  • Thoroughly inspect materials and components at each assembly stage to ensure they meet quality standards, and communicate any quality issues to your supervisor.
  • Manage and organize materials and components necessary for door production, and notify your supervisor when additional supplies are needed.
  • Rotate through the various stages of the assembly line to ensure an efficient production flow.
  • Package and scan finished doors, preparing them for shipment.
  • Clean work areas, break room, and restrooms by sweeping, mopping, and tidying up.
  • Follow all established safety rules and regulations to maintain a clean working environment.
What We're Looking For:
  • At least two years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly line role, preferably in the construction of doors or similar products.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve issues that arise during assembly.
  • Attention to detail for inspecting materials and finished doors.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and supervisors.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently to meet production deadlines.
  • Adaptability to handle different tasks and responsibilities as needed.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools such as measuring tapes, staplers, nailers, drills, as well as machinery related to door manufacturing.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Extended periods of standing and walking throughout the shift.
  • Frequently lifting and carrying materials weighing up to 50 lbs., and occasionally team lift up to 100 lbs.
  • Using hands and arms to operate machinery, handle tools, and perform assembly tasks.
  • Performing close vision, peripheral vision, and color vision tasks to inspect materials and components for quality.
