Job summary

Silgan Containers Mfg Corp is hiring for a production role on a day shift from 6 AM to 6 PM, Thursday through Saturday with every other Wednesday. You will operate waxers and related equipment, inspect quality, and assist with packaging and shipment of coated plate.

Qualifications

• Can Do, Will Do Attitude is expected.

Responsibilities

• Operate the waxers, stackers, load turners, and other associated equipment.
• Remove tinplate from oven conveyor.
• Prepare materials required for handling, strapping, wrapping and shipment of coated plate.
• Visually inspect production for standard quality.
• Notify supervisor of plates with questionable quality.
• Record and report production, spoilage and related items.
• Perform visual inspection, DMS data entry, wax coverage check, repair misstacked bundles, and sort plates.

What you’ll do:
