Job summary

Silgan Containers Mfg Corp is seeking an industrial maintenance technician to maintain a high-speed can production line in the United States. Starting pay is $30.03/hour with overtime available and a schedule that includes working 50% of the year with alternating weekends.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and optimize mechanical systems, using precision measuring tools and collaborating with management to improve safety, quality, cost, and productivity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Technical school degree or certification is a plus.
• Ability to learn SPC and use it as a tool for continuous improvement.
• A commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Utilize your industrial mechanical knowledge in maintaining a high-speed can manufacturing line.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and modify all industrial mechanical systems.
• Use precision measuring tools and work with close tolerances up to .0010.
• Work with management to improve work area, safety, quality, cost, and productivity.

Job description

Starting pay is $30.03/hour Work 50% of the year with weekends on for 1 month, weekends off the next

What we offer you:

• Starting pay is $30.03/hour, with overtime available


• Only work 84 hours every two weeks but earn 76 hours of straight pay and 8 hours of scheduled overtime every two weeks


• $0.25/hr increase every 6 months for the first two years


• Quarterly bonus based on plant performance


• Additional quarterly attendance bonus
