Job summary

Silgan in New Castle, PA is hiring Production Associates to maintain production lines, seal and stack finished product, and perform visual checks of caps. The plant runs 3 shifts, 7 days a week; employees are assigned to a steady shift. Compensation is $16.00 per hour plus shift differential with overtime available.

You’ll work in a clean, temperature-controlled environment with paid lunch and rest breaks, and opportunities for overtime as production demands.

Qualifications

• Ensuring line produces quality caps through periodic inspections.
• Monitor the automated line to ensure caps feed correctly into boxes.
• Periodically re-threading labels, filling ink and liner and unjamming caps.
• Properly labeling filled boxes and stacking on pallets.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production lines with cartons and seal/stack finished product.
• Perform visual checks of caps to ensure quality.
• Move filled boxes weighing up to 32 pounds and stack on pallets 6-7 high.

Now hiring Production Associates – $16.00 per hour plus shift differential. Overtime available. Plant runs 3 shifts 7 days per week. Employees are assigned to work one steady shift. As a Production Team Member, you will maintain production lines with cartons as well as seal and stack finished product and doing visual checks of caps in our New Castle, PA facility.

What you’ll do:

• Ensuring that the line(s) you are assigned to produces quality caps through periodic inspections
• Monitor the automated line to ensure that caps are properly feeding into the boxes
• Periodically re-threading labels, filling ink and liner and unjamming caps
• Properly labeling the filled boxes and stacking them on the pallet. Filled boxes weigh up to 32 pounds and are stacked 6-7 high on the pallet

What you’ll need to have:

• Ability to frequently transport a box of product weighing between 15 and 35 lbs. for a short distance from the line to stack on the pallet
