Job summary

SpaceX in Bastrop, TX is seeking an Electrical Test Engineering Manager to own high-volume PCB electrical test at the Starlink factory. You will build and lead a team of engineers and specialists and own yield, coverage, escapes, and tester throughput.

You will set the bar for test programs, fixtures/racks, test boards, and equipment; sign off on production readiness for new products and panel revisions, and collaborate closely with CAM, PCB operations, and SMT on the production floor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in high-volume electrical or manufacturing test.
• 2+ years of leading engineers, including hiring and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Own high-volume production test yield, coverage, escapes, and tester throughput.
• Build and lead a team of engineers and specialists.
• Own test fixture and rack design for multi-unit production test.
• Own test PCBA design and release.
• Set the bar for test programs, fixtures/racks, test boards, and equipment; sign production readiness for new products and panel revisions.
• Set priorities across new-product introduction, sustaining, and debug.
• Provide leadership with a clear operating picture: staffing, yield, downtime, and throughput.
• Partner with electrical test leaders at other SpaceX factories to transfer capabilities.
• Travel to other sites as needed; role is on-site in Bastrop.
