Job summary

SpaceX in Bastrop, Texas, is seeking a Lead Electrical Test Engineer for Starlink production. You will own high-volume PCB test programs, in-circuit and flying-probe tests, fixtures, and test PCBA bring-up for production lines.

You will lead a team of test engineers and technicians, develop DFT guidelines, and collaborate with CAM and design teams to improve yield and throughput. Occasional travel to other SpaceX factories is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of high-volume electrical/test experience.
• 2+ years mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own test production programs and fixtures, including yield and throughput.
• Design and own test fixtures, racks, and PCBAs for production.
• Debug yield issues and drive root-cause with CAM and process engineering.
• Develop and maintain Design For Test guidelines with design teams.
• Write or maintain automation software interacting with testers and documentation.
• Lead test engineers and technicians on programs and fixtures.
• Travel to other SpaceX factories to transfer programs.
