Job summary

Linde Advanced Material Technologies Inc. is seeking a Production Technician for New Product Introduction in Indianapolis, IN. 1st shift with potential transition to 2nd shift; hours 06:00–14:30, Monday-Friday.

You will support NPI projects, operate production equipment, and perform experiments with engineers while maintaining safety and quality standards. Candidates should have a high school diploma and relevant experience, with basic math and computer skills.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma / GED required.
  • 3-5 years direct experience in related field (e.g. Spray drying, Powder Sizing or Combustion Spray Pyrolysis) with mechanical knowledge.
  • Must read, comprehend and understand work instructions.
  • Able to perform basic arithmetic in all units of measure.
  • Able to operate fork truck, electric hoist, scales, and label machines.
  • Comfortable with standing, walking, bending, reaching, hand and finger manipulation; ability to lift 40lbs.
  • Must be able to wear a full face or half face respirator.
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Suite are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a fast-paced environment and complete tasks on-time while meeting safety and quality requirements.
  • Perform multiple tasks that change day-to-day as new products are developed.
  • Execute design of experiments with New Product Introduction engineers to develop new materials and processes.
  • Manufacture new materials and execute new processes with limited instructions using accumulated knowledge with safety in mind.
  • Support and participate in current and new safety initiatives/policies as needed.
  • Follow step-by-step instructions detailed by engineers in turnover reports, job instructions, or verbal instructions.
  • Display basic math ability for production needs using calculators and spreadsheets.
  • Operate machines, forklifts, and/or associated equipment.
  • Complete minor to moderate machine adjustments and repairs as needed.

Indianapolis, IN, United States | req32735 1st Shift (06:00am - 02:30pm) Monday - Friday, open to 2nd Shift transitioning (12:00pm - 08:30pm) Monday-Friday

What you will enjoy doing*
  • You will work in a fast-paced environment and will be expected to complete tasks on-time while meeting safety and quality requirements
  • You will perform multiple tasks that will change day-to-day as new products are developed
  • You will execute design of experiments, working with New Product Introduction engineers to develop new materials and processes
  • You will manufacture new materials and execute new processes with limited instructions using accumulated knowledge, while maintaining a safety-first mindset
  • Further you will support and participate in current and new safety initiatives/policies as business needs arise
  • You will follow step by step instructions detailed by engineers in turnover reports, written job instructions, or verbal instructions
  • Additionally, you will display the ability to perform basic and accurate math for production needs using a calculator and provided spreadsheets
  • You will perform the operation of machines, fork trucks, and/or associated equipment
  • You will complete minor to moderate machine adjustments and maintenance repairs as needed by utilizing your mechanical skillset
What Makes You Great

  • Also, you should be comfortable with frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, hand and finger manipulation, occasional stooping, crouching, climbing and capable of lifting 40lbs
  • You must be able to wear a full face or half face respirator
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Suite are preferred for this role
