Job summary

A leading advanced materials company in Indianapolis is seeking a New Product Introduction Technician to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include executing design of experiments and manufacturing new materials, while adhering to safety guidelines. Candidates should have a High School diploma/GED and 3-5 years of relevant experience, along with strong mechanical knowledge and basic math skills. New Product Introduction Technician

Indianapolis, IN, United States | req27876 1st shift (06:00am - 02:30pm), Monday - Friday

What you will enjoy doing
  • You will work in a fast-paced environment and will be expected to complete tasks on-time while meeting safety and quality requirements
  • You will perform multiple tasks that will change day-to-day as new products are developed
  • You will execute design of experiments, working with New Product Introduction engineers to develop new materials and processes
  • You will manufacture new materials and execute new processes with limited instructions using accumulated knowledge, while maintaining a safety-first mindset
  • Further you will support and participate in current and new safety initiatives/policies as business needs arise
  • You will follow step by step instructions detailed by engineers in turnover reports, written job instructions, or verbal instructions
  • Additionally, you will display the ability to perform basic and accurate math for production needs using a calculator and provided spreadsheets
  • You will perform the operation of machines, fork trucks, and/or associated equipment
  • You will complete minor to moderate machine adjustments and maintenance repairs as needed by utilizing your mechanical skillset
What Makes You Great
  • A High School diploma/GED is required
  • You will have 3-5 years of direct working experience in a related job field (i.e. Spray drying, Powder Sizing or Combustion Spray Pyrolysis process) combined with proven mechanical knowledge
  • Further you must be able to read, comprehend and understand work instructions
  • You also must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
  • Additionally, you must be able to operate fork truck, electric hoist, scales, and label machines
  • Also, you should be comfortable with frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, hand and finger manipulation, occasional stooping, crouching, climbing and capable of lifting 40lbs
  • You must be able to wear a full face or half face respirator
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Suite are preferred for this role
