Job summary

Linde Advanced Material Technologies Inc. in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a production-focused operator for 1st shift (06:00am - 2:30pm) with potential transition to 2nd shift (12:00pm-8:30pm).

You will work in a fast-paced environment, operate machines and forklifts, and perform adjustments as needed while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of related production experience (spray drying, powder sizing or combustion spray pyrolysis) with mechanical knowledge.
• Ability to read and understand work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines and forklifts to support production.
• Follow step-by-step instructions from engineers or turnover reports.
• Perform basic math for production needs using calculators or spreadsheets.
• Carry out minor to moderate machine adjustments and maintenance.
• Support safety initiatives and adhere to safety and quality requirements.

What you will enjoy doing*

• You will work in a fast-paced environment and will be expected to complete tasks on-time while meeting safety and quality requirements


• Youwill perform multiple tasks that will change day-to-day as new productsare developed


• Youwill execute design of experiments, working with New Product Introduction engineersto develop new materials and processes


• Youwill manufacture new materials and execute new processes with limitedinstructions using accumulated knowledge, while maintaining a safety-firstmindset


• Furtheryou will support and participate in current and new safetyinitiatives/policies as business needs arise


• You Will follow step by step instructions detailed by engineers in turnover reports, written job instructions, or verbal instructions


• Additionally, you will display the ability to perform basic and accurate math for production needs using a calculator and provided spreadsheets


• You Will perform the operation of machines, fork trucks, and/or associated equipment


• You Will complete minor to moderate machine adjustments and maintenance repairs as needed by utilizing your mechanical skillset

What makes you great

• AHigh School diploma/GED is required


• Youwill have 3-5 years of direct working experience in a related job field (i.e.Spray drying, Powder Sizing or CombustionSpray Pyrolysis process) combinedwith proven mechanical knowledge


• Furtheryou must be able to read, comprehend and understand work instructions


• Youalso must be able to add, subtract,multiply, and divide in all units of measure


• Additionally,you must be able to operate fork truck, electric hoist, scales, and labelmachines


• Also,you should be comfortable with frequent standing, walking, bending,reaching, hand and finger manipulation, occasional stooping, crouching,climbing and capable of lifting 40lbs


• Youmust be able to wear a full face or half face respirator


• Basiccomputer skills in Microsoft Suite are preferred for this role
