Job summary

Linde Advanced Material Technologies Inc. in Indianapolis, IN seeks a Level I–III Technician to interpret PMIs, JSAs, and schedules, performing daily tasks with safety and quality in mind.

The role requires strong math, ability to read complex instructions, and experience with plant equipment. You will operate large-scale powder production equipment, perform minor maintenance, and adhere to safety protocols in a temperature-controlled environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow complex work instructions.
  • Strong math skills for unit conversions and batch calculations.
  • Experience operating plant equipment and industrial vehicles.
  • Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 44 lbs.
  • Must safely wear respirator and FR clothing as required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience level for LGG9–LGG11 technicians ranging from 0–10 years with mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

  • Follow PMIs, JSAs, and production schedules to ensure safety, efficiency, and quality.
  • Support safety initiatives and policies as needed.
  • Operate and maintain large-scale powder production equipment.
  • Perform minor to moderate machine adjustments and maintenance as required.

What you will enjoy doing*
  • Youwill exhibit strong proficiency in interpreting and following ProductManufacturing Instructions (PMIs), Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), andproduction schedules to effectively execute daily tasks, ensuring safety,efficiency, and adherence to quality standards
  • Furtheryou will support and participate in current and new safetyinitiatives/policies as business needs arise
  • Youwill follow step by step instructions detailed by senior operators inturnover reports, written job instructions, or verbal instructions andbalance multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Youmust demonstrate strong batch chemistry math skills, including the abilityto accurately perform calculations such as addition, subtraction,multiplication, division, and weight percentage conversions across variousunits of measure
  • Further, you will work in a challenging environment that is typically temperaturecontrolled in areas required but often can be hot, dirty, dusty, andhumid, while wearing a respirator, flame-resistant (FR) clothing, andappropriate safety gear, in a setting that can be noisy and demands strictadherence to safety and quality protocols
  • Youwill be responsible for operating and maintaining large-scale powderproduction equipment, including atomizers, spray dryers, power cabinets, blenders, screeners, forklifts, scissorlifts, cranes, and pallet jacks, while working with high-pressure gases,induction-powered furnaces, and high-vacuum equipment, ensuring safe andefficient operation in compliance with company procedures and safetystandards
  • Also you will complete minor to moderate machine adjustments and maintenancerepairs as needed by utilizing your mechanical skillset

  • You are highly proficient in performing mathematical operations, includingaddition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, across all units ofmeasure is essential
  • Experienceoperating plant equipment and industrial vehicles
  • You mustbe physically capable of performing tasks that involve frequent standing,walking, bending, reaching, hand and finger manipulation, as well asoccasional stooping, crouching, climbing, and lifting up to 44 lbs
  • Theability to safely wear and work while using a full-face or half-facerespirator is required
  • Strongcomputer proficiency is required, including demonstrated experience withMicrosoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), as well asthe ability to quickly learn and navigate production-specific software andsystems
  • As a level I (LGG9) Technician Youwill possess all the above requirements plus you will have 0-5 years ofexperience in a related manufacturing or industrial field, along withdemonstrated mechanical aptitude and technical knowledge
  • Asa level II (LGG10) Technician Youwill possess all the above requirements plus you will have a minimum of 5years of experience in a related manufacturing or industrial field, alongwith demonstrated mechanical aptitude and technical knowledge
  • Asa level III (LGG11) Technician Youwill possess all the above requirements plus you will have a minimum of10 years of experience in a related manufacturing or industrial field,along with demonstrated mechanical aptitude and technical knowledge
