Job summary

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates production equipment to manufacture, process, and assemble various commercial products and substances.
• Uses product specifications, blueprints, diagrams, and SOPs to produce products.
• Monitors output for quality and conformance to required metrics.
• Prepares and maintains records of production activities and reports any inconsistencies or equipment issues.
• Follows guidelines for safe material handling and protective gear.
• Studies and records time, motion, methods, and speed to improve efficiency.
• Establishes standard production rate in maintenance, production, clerical, and other worker operations.
• Troubleshoots issues related to manufacturing operations and industrial layout.

Job Summary

• Sets up and operates automatic or semi-automatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation
• Monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications
• Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities and makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures

Physical Requirements

• Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
• Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
• May need to stand for long periods of time.
• Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
• May be requested to work a different shift.
• Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required.
