Job summary

MKS Instruments in Methuen, MA is seeking a Production Technician 2 responsible for set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies. You will perform testing, may complete rework, prepare technical reports, and assist in setting up specialized test equipment.

Qualified candidates have 12–18 months component-level troubleshooting, 2–5 years assembly experience, soldering skills, and the ability to read drawings and use measurement

Qualifications

• Technical school training, or relevant experience, and a minimum of 12-18 months' experience troubleshooting to component level.
• 2-5 years assembly experience.
• Soldering skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Willing to work in a fast-paced, high volume production environment and still have commitment to the quality of the product.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be highly motivated, able to work independently, and be able to work in a team environment.
• Familiar with PC programs (spreadsheets, databases, windows, etc.).
• Performs other duties as required.
• Ability to read drawings and use measurement instruments.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

• Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time
• Occasionally moves/positions object up to 20 pounds
• Ability to remain in a stationary position for 30% of the time
• Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
• Must be able to exchange accurate information
• The ability to observe documents and details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)

Pay Range:

Total Base Pay Range $18.89 - 31.49 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.

Bonus:

This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
