Job summary

G&W Electric seeks a Team Lead II to guide a manufacturing team responsible for assembling product components. You will allocate work, coach operators, and ensure safe, efficient production to meet on-time targets.

The role requires reading complex drawings, using MS Word/Excel, and familiarity with ERP systems; candidates should have 4+ years in manufacturing and prior team leadership. You will participate in audits, drive quality, and mentor others in inspection tasks.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to supervise diverse tasks and schedules.
• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and schematics.
• Intermediate computer skills: MS Word and Excel; ERP experience desirable.
• Understanding and applying corrective and preventive actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing employees within an area of responsibility across various processes and operations.
• Assign work and instruct operators on techniques, quality, safety, and housekeeping.
• Ensure availability of materials, tools, and fixtures.
• Perform direct labor and other tasks to maintain workflow and on-time completion.
• Audit work to ensure quality procedures are followed and requirements met.
• Evaluate team member performance with supervisor support.
• Perform supervisory tasks excluding disciplinary actions and time approvals.
• Conduct internal process audits and report findings.
• Analyze materials, processes, and products for disruptions.
• Assist with production posting and inventory accuracy within the cell.
• Communicate BOM/discrepancies to Engineering.
• Conserve resources by efficient use of equipment and supplies.
• Train others in inspection tasks as needed.
• Document actions via production and quality forms.
