Job summary

Gibraltar Industries, Inc. in Wisconsin seeks a Production Team Leader to train, direct, validate and motivate employees to meet production goals.

You will lead safety-focused training, determine part priorities, ensure standard work is followed, and drive cross-functional collaboration with Production, Warehouse, Shipping, Maintenance and Scheduling to align with customer demands. A suitable candidate will have a high school education and 1–3 years of related leadership experience, plus basic

Qualifications

High school education; 1–3 years of related leadership experience or training; may be on an establishment Individual Development Plan through Gibraltar.
Forklift/ crane operator certification and OSHA training are favorable.
Basic computer skills including Excel, Word, email, PowerPoint; familiarity with ERP/HRIS systems.

Responsibilities

Enforce safety and security procedures and promote reporting of unsafe conditions, incidents and near misses.
Lead training for new hires and ongoing team member training.
Determine priority of parts based on production/shipping schedule.
Ensure standard work is followed safely and accurately; update SOPs as needed.
Direct daily tasks to meet quality and production targets; minimize scrap.
Oversee multiple machines to meet production rates; satisfy customer demands.
Communicate with Production, Warehouse, Shipping, Maintenance and Scheduling to align with customer-driven strategy.
Lead problem solving using 5Y, root cause analysis, and A3s.
Monitor KPIs: safety, 6S, people, quality, cost, delivery, inventory, and continuous improvement.
