Job summary

Toyota Manufacturing in the United States is seeking a Production Group Leader to guide a production team toward daily goals while upholding safety, quality, and continuous improvement. You will liaise with quality, maintenance, and engineering to drive process improvements and resolve issues on the line.

The role emphasizes people development, effective communication, and the use of TBP and OJD tools to maintain high performance.

Qualifications

• 2-year college degree (or equivalent) in leadership, business, manufacturing, engineering, or related field.
• 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite Products (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to train and develop team members.
• Availability to work shifts (Mon-Fri 2:00pm–10:30pm, Sun-Thurs 7:15pm–4:00am, Sun-Thurs 10:00PM–6:30AM).
• Availability to work overtime, including occasional weekends and holidays.
• Willingness to travel 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and develop a production team to meet daily targets with high quality.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies and a safe work environment.
• Manage production schedules and resources to meet customer demand and productivity goals.
• Oversee floor activities, continuous improvement, FMDS, and team morale.
• Train and mentor team members through OJD to foster growth and learning.
• Collaborate with quality, maintenance, and engineering for improvements.
• Use TBP to identify root causes and countermeasures.
• Demonstrate strong communication and team development with leadership teams.
• Represent the team with consistency and integrity in presentations.
