Job summary

Toyota North America seeks a Production Group Leader to guide a production team toward daily targets while upholding safety, quality, and continuous improvement. You will lead communication with cross-functional teams and act as the bridge to management and technical resources.

You will drive problem solving, coach team members, and ensure adherence to schedules, with overtime and travel as needed. A 2-year degree and supervisory experience are required; Lean Six Sigma and a 4-year degree are

Qualifications

• Requires a 2-year college degree (or equivalent) in leadership, business, manufacturing, engineering, or related field.
• 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to train and develop team members.
• Shifts: Mon-Fri 2:00pm–10:30pm, Sun-Thurs 7:15pm–4:00am, or Sun-Thurs 10:00pm–6:30am; overtime and travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and develop a production team to meet daily targets with high quality.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies and create a safe work environment.
• Manage production schedules and resources to meet demand and PEFF goals.
• Oversee floor activities, continuous improvement, FMDS, and group morale.
• Mentor team members through On the Job Development (OJD).
• Collaborate with quality, maintenance, and engineering for continuous improvement.
• Identify defects and determine containment and countermeasures.
• Perform STW audits and apply TBP to solve problems with root-cause analysis.
• Deliver presentations to leadership with problem-solving data and insights.
