Job summary

Toyota Manufacturing is seeking a Group Leader to manage day-to-day production activities with a safety and quality mindset and to develop a team of direct reports. Reporting to the Production Manager, this role supports KPI achievement and efficient product delivery.

The position requires manufacturing experience, strong leadership, and willingness to work a 12-hour night shift. Travel to Japan for knowledge transfer may be needed to implement battery manufacturing best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in manufacturing or process industries.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analytics experience required.
• Strong leadership and continuous improvement mindset.
• Experience in production manpower planning (attendance, overtime, etc).
• Willing to work a 12 hour night shift.

Responsibilities

• Spend significant time on the production floor overseeing processes and developing team members' capabilities.
• Provide leadership coaching and mentorship with a focus on people development.
• Establish and manage a visual floor management system.
• Meet production KPIs and drive continuous improvements.
• Promote a safety-first work culture.
• Lead hiring and onboarding for the manufacturing team; potential travel to Japan for knowledge transfer.
