Job summary

First Solar, Inc. is seeking a Production Team Lead to guide a team within our manufacturing operations. The role combines hands-on production oversight with supervisory responsibilities and training of associates to ensure quality, safety, and on-time output.

The successful candidate will use strong problem-solving and communication skills, supervise during shifts, and help drive continuous improvement on the production floor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree or technical certificates preferred in a technical discipline.
• Internal experience: 6 months as Production Technician I in any production area; Supervisory recommendation required.
• External experience: 1 year as Team Lead or Supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping.
• Safely operate and maintain tools and equipment to meet quality and productivity levels.
• Provide on-the-job training or coordinate with others to train team members.
• Lead team on job assignments and help resolve issues.
• Monitor process data and apply SPC concepts to maintain control.
• Communicate effectively with team and leadership during shifts.
• Ensure inventory levels and waste disposal are managed appropriately.
