Job summary

First Solar in Alabama is seeking a Production Team Lead to blend technician expertise with team leadership in manufacturing photovoltaic modules. You will supervise a crew, ensure safety, quality, and on-time production, and train colleagues on processes, equipment, and problem solving.

You will use SPC data, perform maintenance with hand tools, and coordinate with multiple teams to resolve issues while maintaining inventory and waste controls.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred associate degree or technical certificate.
• 1+ year experience as Coater Technician I.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to all safety procedures and maintains good housekeeping.
• Safely operates and maintains tools to meet quality and productivity levels.
• Provides on-the-job training and coordinates with others to train team members.
• Leads their team on job assignments and supports them on resolving issues.
• Performs maintenance on equipment with hand tools and instrumentation.
• Monitors process data (including SPC) and makes decisions to maintain control.
