Job summary

Key People is seeking an Assistant Production Manager to lead the Production department, directing, coordinating and evaluating operations to ensure products meet quality and schedule requirements.

The role involves supervising staff, planning work, training, appraising performance, enforcing safety rules, and coordinating maintenance and process improvements with other supervisors to optimize efficiency and output.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree or High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Four years of Manufacturing Experience.
• Two or more years of supervision experience.

Responsibilities

• Directs the Production department through direction, coordination and evaluation to meet policy and quality standards.
• Supervises production activities to ensure products meet or exceed requirements.
• Determines manufacturing priorities based on production schedules.
• Interprets specifications and judges acceptability of in‑process production.
• Implements safety programs to ensure worker safety in the area.
• Assures product quality and resolves problems with supervision.
• Directs routine equipment maintenance and setup and coordinates with other supervisors.
