Responsibilities

• Supervises production operation within area to ensure methods, quality, safety, and efficient equipment use.
• Reviews production orders to plan department operations by product type, quantity and spec.
• Plans production operations, sets priorities, prepares schedules, and coordinates activities to meet specs.
• Reviews reports and resolves manufacturing and maintenance issues to minimize costs and delays.
• Inspects machines to ensure performance and optimum utilization.
• Compiles, stores and retrieves production data.
• Develops or revises standard practices and observes workers for compliance.
• Maintains safety and housekeeping by enforcing procedures and training on safe operation.
• Provides coaching and training to build a qualified, quality-focused workforce.
