Job summary

Adient, located in Riverside, MO, is seeking a Production Lead to supervise a shift and ensure profitable, efficient operation through proper use of manpower, materials, equipment and space. The role requires organizing resources to meet the current schedule and quality standards while training staff and enforcing safety rules.

You will coordinate with engineering and maintenance, manage staffing, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• University degree with minimum experience or 2-year degree with extensive experience.
• Excellent English communication.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to supervise, train and motivate employees in a multi-cultural environment.
• Willingness to work C crew hours (Fri–Sat 6:00–4:30, Sun–Mon 18:00–4:30).

Responsibilities

• Supervise production team members and ensure compliance with handbook and safety rules.
• Train and orient team members for safe, efficient operation of equipment.
• Evaluate probationary staff and recommend hires, promotions, or releases.
• Maintain staffing within budgeted levels; reassign down equipment as needed.
• Monitor production for quality, safety, and efficiency; take corrective action.
• Analyze operations for cost controls and efficiency; advise leadership.
• Address on-the-job problems and create action plans with management.
• Direct team during emergencies to safe areas.
• Process payroll and HR forms in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with engineering and maintenance for repairs.
• Collaborate with Plant/Operations managers to identify cost overruns and corrective actions.
• Foster teamwork to achieve department and company objectives.
• Support Johnson Controls’ management philosophy and vision.
• Attend safety and quality meetings; uphold safe practices.
