Job summary

OSI Group in Illinois seeks a first-line supervisor to lead an assigned production team, assign tasks, and extend the capabilities of the shift supervisor. You will monitor performance, coach operators, and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and production goals.

The role involves setup and inspection of equipment, maintaining records, and upholding GMPs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong communicator with basic computer skills is essential.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and data entry accuracy.
• Familiar with KPI concepts and performance tracking.
• 1 year of on-the-job experience in a production/operations setting.

Responsibilities

• Assigns employees to work stations and tasks as needed.
• Familiar with department equipment and perform setup/inspection.
• Train and coach staff; monitor performance for safety and quality.
• Assist supervisor in meeting safety, quality, and production goals.
• Perform pre-op and in-run checks; locate supplies to optimize runs.
• Diagnose production issues and initiate corrective actions.
• Complete reports and maintain production records.
• Ensure work area is clean; follow GMPs.
• Other duties as assigned.
