Job summary

O.F. Mossberg & Sons, Inc. in Eagle Pass, TX, is seeking a Full Time Production Supervisor to lead a manufacturing team and ensure daily production plans are met with a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

The role requires coordinating materials, tooling, and staffing while maintaining inventory controls and smooth workflow. The ideal candidate has extensive manufacturing experience, proven supervisory background, and solid knowledge of Lean methods (Standard Work, SMED, 6S).

Qualifications

• Strong manufacturing/operations background with five (5) years of experience.
• Three (3) years of Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in Lean tools such as Standard Work, SMED and 6S.
• High School Diploma Required, Associate Preferred.
• Exposure to and practical understanding of Lean Manufacturing.
• Must have excellent people skills and strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Leads production team to meet daily production needs and the on-time delivery goal while upholding safety, quality, efficiency, and cost metrics.
• Prepares and communicates daily work assignments within the area.
• Ensures materials, tooling, fixtures, and parts are available to execute daily plan.
• Audits 6S checklists to maintain a safe, clean working environment.
• Audits TPM checklists to ensure equipment is in good condition.
• Supports development and execution of cross-training plans and onboarding of new staff.
• Identifies production problems, reviews re-work and rejects, and works with support departments to minimize rejects and maintain flow.
• Performs safety inspections and toolbox talks; ensures OSHA compliance.
• Maintains accountability for meeting product quality standards and production schedules; manages area inventory and Kanban levels.
• Oversees day-to-day execution of team duties, policies, attendance, and safety; may run production or fill in as needed.
• Identifies staffing and equipment gaps and proposes solutions; trains and motivates personnel.
