Job summary

Andersen Corporation in Bayport, NY is seeking a Team Lead II to provide daily direction for a production department of 5-40 associates, applying AMS tools and coaching to meet safety, quality, delivery and cost targets.

You will identify constraints, lead Tier1 meetings, deliver training, maintain visual management boards, and drive continuous improvement through problem solving using 5 Why, PDCA and MCA.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience in manufacturing operations.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement processes such as 5s and problem-solving methods. Lean training or certification preferred.
• Knowledge of operations products, processes, and equipment including safety, quality, changeover and set-up skills and knowledge of preventative maintenance techniques and basic machine diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the continuous flow of production to meet planned output while following operations standards (safety, quality, delivery, cost, maintenance).
• Facilitate training and development of production employees, providing clear expectations of performance, AMS, quality, and safety.
• Focus on improving business metrics by leading and supporting AMS projects and initiatives.
• Demonstrate leadership in communications, conflict resolution, process constraints and problem solving.
