Andersen Corporation in Minnesota is seeking a production operator to sustain flow and improve manufacturing metrics. You will lead Tier1 problem solving, coach teams, and coordinate cross-training while partnering with Value Stream Supervisors.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and Lean practices. You will apply 5S/lean methods, track performance on visual boards, and participate in daily Tier1 meetings to drive engagement and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience in manufacturing operations.
• Lean training or certification preferred.
• Knowledge of operations products, processes, and equipment including safety, quality, changeover and setup.
• Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and collaboration.
• Flexible, self-motivated and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Ensure continuous flow of production to meet planned output while following standards.
• Identify issues, engage Tier 1 and escalate to Tier 2; partner with Value Stream Supervisors.
• Facilitate training and development of production employees; provide coaching and feedback.
• Maintain cross-training matrix to utilize employee capabilities; coordinate movement.
• Lead AMS projects and initiatives; maintain visual management tools (PVA, run charts, boards).
• Participate in problem solving using AMS tools (5 Why, PDCA, MCA).
• Lead daily Tier1 meetings to encourage participation and engagement.
• Support other production areas as needed; assist with project support and cycle counting.
• Complete standard work audits and MCA corrective actions; enforce safety procedures.
