Job summary

Plug Power Inc. in New York, NY is seeking a Production Supervisor to direct the manufacturing team and ensure timely, high-quality assembly. You will coach staff, drive metrics, and coordinate with the Production Manager to meet schedules.

The role requires strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills, with a focus on safety and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associates degree preferred.
• Manufacturing industry experience; tech product manufacturing preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience highly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate and lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Assign tasks and lead daily production to meet deliverables.
• Maintain knowledge of products and assembly protocols; train staff.
• Set team goals and improve quality and throughput metrics.
• Coordinate with Production Manager and Cell Leaders.
• Cross-train team members across assembly processes.
• Lead 5S and maintain safety standards per OSHA.
• Analyze data, prepare reports, and manage inventory with scheduler.
• Support performance evaluations and disciplinary matters as needed.
• Exempt employees may work extra hours as needed.
