Plug Power Inc. is seeking a Manager, Manufacturing & Test Engineering to lead a multidisciplinary team supporting production operations.

You will drive engineering support on the floor, standardize test platforms, and collaborate with Production, R&D, Supply Chain, Warehouse, and Quality to improve quality, throughput, and cost. The role requires 7+ years in manufacturing engineering with people leadership, hands-on test systems experience, and strong problem solving.

Formación

• BS in Engineering or STEM field required.
• 7+ years in manufacturing/production engineering with 3+ years in people leadership.
• Hands-on with production test systems and electronic instrumentation.
• Experience with process docs, drawings, schematics, and BOMs.
• Structured problem solving (8D, 5-Why, DMAIC).
• Vendor management of external integrators and test fixtures.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians.
• Own the engineering ticketing system with KPIs and cycle times.
• Align engineering priorities with build schedules and floor constraints.
• Manage budgets for process and test engineering including capex.
• Develop and maintain production test assets with calibration.
• Drive standardization of test platforms and data analysis tools.
• Manage external vendors from requirements to acceptance testing.
• Own process documentation and ERP routings/bill of materials.
• Conduct time studies and line balancing for throughputs.
• Lead Lean/5S and Kaizen for cycle time and yield improvements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally on NPI, manufacturability, and material flow.
