Description

The Operations Process Lead plays a critical role in ensuring smooth and efficient production operations. This individual will provide day-to-day guidance to technicians, troubleshoot issues that arise on the floor, assist with training, and communicate effectively with both the team and management. The ideal candidate is highly process- and data-driven, holds quality to the highest standard, is an effective communicator, and has strong problem-solving skills.

Work Schedule

This role is Friday through Monday, four 10-hour shifts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Oversee and support technicians in their daily tasks, ensuring adherence to established processes and quality standards.
  2. Identify and resolve technical or operational issues on the manufacturing floor, escalating concerns when necessary.
  3. Assist with technician training and provide feedback to management on individual technician performance to determine when retraining is needed.
  4. Work with management and other cross-functional teams to implement improvement plans for training, work instructions, and other production processes.
  5. Optimize labor allocation by redirecting team members as needed to meet production goals and maintain an efficient workflow.
  6. Facilitate the smooth transition of information between shifts to ensure continuity in production.
  7. Work closely with leadership to proactively identify and mitigate potential bottlenecks, production challenges, and team performance issues.
Education and Experience
  • A minimum of 4 years of high-level experience in a manufacturing, production, or distribution environment.
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree is preferred but not required.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Effective communication skills to convey performance expectations and relay relevant information to management.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Process- and data-driven mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work with production, hardware, and software teams.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
  • HAZMAT OSHA Certification.
  • Experience with QuickSight, Jira, and/or GitHub is a plus.
  • Understanding and application of 5S & LEAN manufacturing principles is preferred.
  • Leadership experience or ability to guide and support a team is a plus.
Physical Demands
  • Regularly required to sit or stand, use hands, reach with hands and arms, see, listen, and speak.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
